Last night pop star and fashion icon Rihanna, was honored and named Glamour Woman of the Year. Even though her year came to a rough start with her highly publicized assault case with former boyfriend Chris Brown, she can now say it’s ending on a nice note. The Bajan princess’s gown was gorgeous and definitely the belle of the ball. Check out her acceptance speech below:

Well, well looky here Ms. Keys and her rumor-to-be producer boyfriend Swizz Beats are shown lip-locking. Rumors say these pics were taken back in January 2008, during the time Swizz and his wife Mashonda were still showing up to events hand in hand. If it’s true, I’m a little disappointed in Alicia Keys being a homewrecker isn’t a good title to have.
Celebrities George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey and prominent lobbyists, corporate executives and Democratic fundraisers were among the first to score visits with President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle or top aides at the White House, newly released records show.
The White House late Friday afternoon posted a list of roughly 480 records in response to questions about whether specific people visited the president’s home. It plans to start disclosing comprehensive visitor lists in coming months.
The other day, Diddy
got caught red-handed…or is that brown-handed? Anyway, Diddy was seen coming out of the terrace of a hotel and he appeared to be having a “night cap.” Dude had a towel around his waist like he was tapping something. In the background emerged his lady…or was it? No, it wasn’t his girl friend Cassie. It was his ex-girl and mother of his kids, Kim Porter back there in plain sight in some night clothing. Yeahhhhhhh….oh man. Casse has some decisions to make now. She’s had a crazy year and this is not the way she wanted it to go. How do I know? I don’t but I am assuming and assuming doesn’t make as a$$ out of me this time. Anyway, maybe there is something that we don’t know!

Reverend Al Sharpton awarded Joe Jackson for his parenting skills in Harlem the other day. He says he cant believe people are “arrogant” enough to criticize Joe for being a strict parent and even wished for more “stern” parents saying “then we wouldn’t be shooting each other up.” He does have a point though … a lot of these kids are in desperate need of an a** whooping nowadays … can I get an AMEN???

Apparently Precious director Lee Daniels wanted Vogue’s André Leon Talley to appear in the movie in a fantasy sequence about a Vogue photo shoot. The Times reports, “Talley looked at a clip of [Precious star Gabourey] Sidibe from the movie and declined.” [NYT via Jezebel]
