Re-introduction of a great classic of the Vuitton House this Keepall is covered in its entirety with the Monogramouflage canvas. I guess it doesn’t hurt that this is the bag Kobe used during the Olympics 2008. Practical and functional, and purely Harlem high style with a removable shoulder strap in black cotton with shoulder pad. Incredible detailing; lining in cotton, trimmings in natural cowhide and black jute canvas, antique gold finish brass pieces, double zippered closure, a key holder and three inside patch pockets, and handle fixings and two black cotton bands go right round the bag. Limited Edition, Takashi Murakami, Louis Vuitton. $2,000

The Vice President Is A Diva?

There have already been articles about the Sarah Palin bio and the idea she’d be the first female vice president… Many are suggesting that the selection of Palin by McCain is either brilliant or devious.  It’s probably both.  The point is that he’s a white-haired white dude challenging an ethnic pop culture icon.  To offset his stogy image, he needs something radical. The recommendation seems obviously brilliant… But the more interesting point is that search engines are currently reporting more searches for Sarah Palin’s photos. Yes, she’s not Paris Hilton hot, but the Paris Hilton bio is not the same as the Sarah Palin bio.  She had the most popular approval rating in America in the 90’s, she doesn’t tote the party line, she has an opinion and she is not afraid to vote with it. And she has a Vogue cover.

Here’s part #1 of a two piece series of Solange’s new music video, performing ‘I Decided’ with Ms. Knowles as director for this Geffen project. We like this mashup of old school, meets new school flava, they also do a good job of channeling Warhol-ish video, with Beardon-like collaging.

Michelle Obama’s Fashion Stop

Fashion Scoops

After meeting fashion designers at a dinner held at Calvin Klein’s Perry Street home in June, Michelle Obama will get her chance to meet fashion and entertainment types in Los Angeles. On Wednesday, Creative Artists Agency’s Bryan Lourd is opening his Beverly Hills home for a Barack Obama fund-raiser, which Michelle Obama is slated to attend. The event’s host committee includes Tom Ford, CAA’s Kevin Huvane and Ann Philbin, director at the Hammer Museum at UCLA. Sounds like a true Harlem World event.
