Prosecutors will call the pop star Rihanna to take the stand today in hopes to solidify their claims that she was physically attacked by her former boyfriend Chris Brown.
Officials decdided to banTV cameras and crews from the courtroom in efforts to keep the testimony from becoming a media blitz.
As earlier reported, an inside source, who has asked to remain anonymous, told Daily News reporters that the 19-year-old is expected to plead not guilty to two felony counts.
“It’s expected to be resolved at some point soon. Rihanna wants it resolved as well,” the source said.
The insider also stated Brown wants to dodge jail time and does not want to plead guilty to the felony threat charge since because it would count as one “strike” on his record under California’s Three Strikes law.
Brown faces two felony counts of felony assault and making criminal threats stemming from an altercation that left Rihanna bruised and battered on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February.
